While Yosemite National Park marks some of the busiest spots you can find on the PCT, there is a reason why this national park is so popular. For a glimpse of the high-altitude splendor that Yosemite is, you can hop on the PCT, starting at Tuolumne Meadows Camping, off Highway 120 East, park entrance, and head north along with the Tuolumne River as it makes its way through muted granite scenery.
The cascading rapids of the Tuolumn River eventually lead hikers to the hlynung Tuolumn Falls and White Cascade four miles off the trail, providing a great photo opportunity and a turn on a fantastic day hike. For early risers or looking for a night out at camp, Glen Aulin High Sierra Camp is about six miles north of Tuolumne Meadows Camping on PCT and provides cabin seating and an unearthly place to soak in your Yosemite National Park.
